
Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh – A prominent spiritual voice and advocate for Dharma, Mahant Yati Maa Chetananand Saraswati of the renowned Siddhpeeth Shivshakti Dham Chandi Devi Temple in Dasna, Ghaziabad, attained samadhi on the afternoon of 30 April 2026.
Her passing has led to a wave of grief among her followers, Hindu organisations and Saints.
A life dedicated to Dharma-raksha and ‘Shatrubodh’
Yati Maa Chetananand Saraswati was not only a spiritual guide but also a vigilant protector committed to safeguarding Hindu society, particularly its daughters.
She shared a close association with Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and was regarded as a key pillar in initiatives such as the Vaishvik Hindu Rashtra Mahotsav.
She consistently emphasised the importance of ‘Shatrubodh’, awareness of one’s adversaries, and believed that the root cause of challenges faced by Hindus lay in the lack of sadhana and kshatratej.

Strong voice against ‘love jihad’
Yati Maa Chetananand Saraswati had described ‘love jihad’ as a serious threat to Hindu society and had called for nationwide legislation to address it.
Concerns about the film industry: She had cautioned that foreign funding to films from Islamic countries was influencing narratives that portrayed Hindu Dharma negatively and diminished the dignity of women.
Lack of Dharma education: She believed that proper grounding in Hindu Dharma from a young age could help prevent such issues.
Safety awareness: She had advised women to avoid sharing personal details on social media, warning that such information could be misused.
Preparing for future challenges: In her recent address, she had urged society to remain prepared for challenging times and to educate families about ‘Shatrubodh’ to safeguard future generations.
Active participation in Vaishvik Hindu Rashtra Mahotsav
Yati Maa Chetananand Saraswati had regularly participated in the annual Vaishvik Hindu Rashtra Mahotsav organised by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti in Goa.
She believed that such programmes help revive values within Hindu society. She had stated,
“When we dedicate ourselves to Dharma, not only Bharat but the entire world can witness the establishment of Hindu Dharma.”
Mahant Yati Maa Chetananand Saraswati’s life was devoted to sacrifice, spiritual discipline, and the protection of Dharma. The light she kindled for Dharma-raksha will continue to guide society. May the Divine grant her eternal place at His holy feet.
