In your own words – what do you do?

As Founder & CEO, I’m responsible for the overall direction of the company, from product and growth to team and culture. I’ve wanted to be an entrepreneur since childhood, and when I saw an opportunity to do something better, I decided to build a company around that belief.

What’s the most exciting thing about what you’re building?

What excites me most is seeing our technology validated after all the hard work, sweat, and tears we have put into it. As a company, we took a big bet on doing things differently, and it is exciting to see that approach beginning to pay off. Even more importantly, it brings us closer to creating the kind of positive impact on society that motivated us from the start.

What are you most proud of so far?

What I am most proud of so far is the journey behind everything we are building. Moving to the UK as an immigrant, without family or relatives here, forced me to stand on my own feet, face challenges head-on, and grow through them. That experience shaped the way I lead and build. I am proud that we had the courage to take a different path as a company, stay committed to our vision, and begin seeing that belief turn into real progress.

What’s been your biggest challenge, and how did you overcome it?

One of my biggest challenges came right after graduation, when I was trying to build the startup with almost no money while also working a part-time job to support myself. For about a year, I moved from couch to couch, sleeping on friends’ sofas, while navigating life as an immigrant in the UK without family or relatives here. It was an incredibly difficult period, both personally and professionally. What helped me overcome it was resilience, belief in what I was building, and a willingness to keep going no matter how uncertain things felt. That experience shaped me deeply and taught me lessons about perseverance and self-reliance that still guide me today.

What’s your advice for other founders?

My advice for other founders is not to romanticize the journey. Building a company will test you in ways you may not expect, and in the early days, survival can matter just as much as vision. Resilience, discipline, and consistency matter more than excitement when things are uncertain. Just as importantly, know who your real friends are. A strong circle of people who believe in you, push you, and support you through difficult times can become your backbone. When the pressure is high and the road is unclear, those people can help you stay grounded and keep moving forward.

The South West has quietly become one of the UK’s most interesting tech cities – what’s your experience of building here versus what people assume it’s like?

People often assume that the most exciting tech companies in the UK have to be built in London, but my experience in the South West has challenged that. Building here has meant access to great talent, a strong sense of community, and the space to focus deeply on what we are creating. There is less noise, less pressure to follow trends, and more room to build with conviction. What I think people get wrong is confusing visibility with substance. The South West may be quieter, but that does not mean it lacks ambition or capability. In many ways, it has been the right environment for us to take a bold bet, do things differently, and build with long-term intent.
