Sanatan Sanstha clarifies it did not organise Gautam Khattar’s programme

Police complaint filed against those attempting to defame Sanatan Sanstha

Ponda, Goa – In recent days, there have been attempts to deliberately create religious tension in Goa over statements made by Shri. Gautam Khattar regarding Francis Xavier. Taking advantage of this controversy, certain anti-social elements are attempting to unnecessarily target Sanatan Sanstha, stated Shri. Chetan Rajhans, Spokesperson of Sanatan Sanstha.

The organisation stated that the High Court has clearly recognised Sanatan Sanstha as a spiritual organisation and has rejected demands for a ban due to lack of concrete evidence. Despite this, attempts are being made to defame the organisation out of hostility towards Hindu Dharma; this amounts to disrespect towards the judiciary.

In response to this, Sanatan Sanstha has filed an official complaint at the Ponda Police Station.

Shri. Chetan Rajhans, spokesperson of the organisation, stated that a demand has been made for immediate registration of offences and arrest of those responsible for defaming the Sanstha.

Clarifications issued by Sanatan Sanstha

Several videos and social media posts have claimed that Gautam Khattar’s programme was organised by Sanatan Sanstha. The organisation clarified that this claim is false. The programme was organised by Sanatan Dharma Raksha Samiti. It alleged that its name is being deliberately dragged into the controversy to tarnish its image.

In the Madgaon blast case, the court had acquitted all seekers of the organisation of the charges.

The Central Government had also submitted an affidavit in court stating that there is no concrete evidence against the organisation. It added that those who do not accept such judicial decisions may be seen as lacking faith in the Constitution of India.
