
Saturday marked the 30th anniversary of Reclaim the Streets, an anti-capitalist direct action movement that was active in the late 1990s into the early 2000s.
Our sister site urban75 documented many of the actions, with the Brixton takeover and the wonderfully imaginative M41 protest being some of the boldest.
Last weekend, thousands of activists gathered by Smithfield Market before a Critical Mass bike ride snaked through east London before creating a free party in Victoria Park.
