London’s South Bank looks magical in the autumnal lights – in ten photos

Autumn is one of my favourite times for walking along the River Thames by the South Bank, especially in the late afternoon when the night starts to draw in.

Here’s ten photos captured yesterday:

Slow exposure by the Festival Pier.

Another long exposure turned a cyclist into a ghostly blur.

At the bar.

I liked the rectangular light tubes.

The tide was going out. Back in the day, this stretch was famous for its illegal Reclaim The Beach parties.

Not many takers for ice cold drinks and ice creams.

Abandoned Forest hire e-bike.

Looking across the river.

Heading back towards Vauxhall.
