Memorandum submitted to the police, citing disrespectful portrayal of Hindu Saints and women

Representatives of pro-Hindu organisations led by Hindu Rashtra Samanvay Samiti submitting a memorandum at Shivaji Park Police Station
Mumbai – The Hindu Rashtra Samanvay Samiti has demanded that authorities deny permission for a lecture titled ‘Buva Tethe Baya’ by Prof. Shyam Manav, founder of the Akhil Bharatiya Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti, scheduled to be held in Dadar on 12 May.
In a memorandum submitted to the Shivaji Park Police Station, the Samiti stated that Prof. Shyam Manav has repeatedly made objectionable remarks regarding Hindu Dharma, Saints, and organisations. The Samiti expressed concern that similar inflammatory statements might be made during the upcoming lecture.
Prominent dignitaries present during the submission included H.B.P. Bapu Maharaj Rawkar (Executive President, Rashtriya Warkari Parishad), Shri. Prasad Mankar (Hindu Janajagruti Samiti), Shri. Chandrakant Bhadirke (Sanatan Sanstha), and several other devout Hindu activists.

The Samiti claimed that following the Ashok Kharat case, Shyam Manav has been making generalised, derogatory statements targeting Hindu buvas (religious preachers) and Saints. They also took issue with the title ‘Buva Tethe Baya’ (Where there are preachers, there are women), calling it disrespectful to women.
The lecture is slated for 12 May at 5:30 PM at Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Hall, Shivaji Mandir, Dadar (West).
The Samiti further cited previous instances where Shyam Manav questioned traditional accounts associated with Sant Dnyaneshwar, which they consider deeply hurtful to religious sentiments. Given these concerns, the organisation warned that the programme could lead to law and order issues. They urged authorities to cancel the event, stating that the administration would be held responsible for any unrest resulting from the programme.
