Expleo has announced the appointment of Walter Cappilati as new group CEO.

In his new role Cappilati will be responsible for the complete portfolio of Expleo businesses, including Aerotec & Concept, Moorhouse Consulting, Silver Atena, Stirling Dynamics, Trissential and UMS Consulting. With this appointment Expleo will embark on a new phase of its transformation and growth, complementing the proven expertise of its 18,000 experts worldwide with the power of AI to help clients realise greater operational efficiencies, reduce time-to-market and accelerate innovation.

A French national born in 1966, Cappilati holds a Master’s degree in Economics and a DESS (postgraduate diploma) in IT and Negotiation, and was an auditor at the 64th national session of the IHEDN (National Institute for Higher Defence Studies).

Cappilati began his career in 1997 at Capgemini, where he held several management positions, including executive director of Aeronautics, Space and Defence, deputy CEO in charge of application services in France, applications & infrastructure CEO for Latin America.

In 2017, he became CEO of Sogeti High Tech before joining Akka as executive vice president of the Group.

In 2020, he joined the Thales Group as CEO of Thales Services Numériques and then, from 2025, as vice-president of cyber security services.
