It’s an excitement time right now at Ericson Manufacturing.
The company, which is an industry leader in temporary power and lighting products, has announced plans to grow in its Willoughby operation.
This project will add 20,000 square feet of production space and create 36 new jobs, while retaining 84 positions, according to a news release cited in a News-Herald staff report.
With fourth-generation leadership at the helm, the company is growing into a third facility and investing in cutting-edge technologies like 3D printing and next-generation manufacturing.
As leadership officially transitioned to brothers John Ericson as CEO and Josh Ericson as vice president of sales, their ownership marks a pivotal moment in the company’s 107-year history, the release stated. This expansion is an early demonstration of that momentum.
“This next chapter is about moving faster, working smarter and being even more responsive to our customers,” John Ericson stated in the release. “With the support of the economic development team, including JobsOhio, Team NEO, and the City of Willoughby, this investment in new technology and talent is just the beginning.”
Willoughby Mayor Robert Fiala congratulated Ericson Manufacturing on another expansion.
“With more than a century of excellence as a leader in electrical safety products, Ericson is a valued partner and a company we are proud to have call Willoughby home,” Fiala stated.
“Ericson Manufacturing’s investment and expansion in Northeast Ohio highlights the strength of our workforce and the competitive advantages our region offers,” Team NEO CEO Matt Dolan stated in the release. “We’re excited to support their continued growth and the new opportunities this investment will bring.”
The News-Herald congratulates Ericson Manufacturing on its expansion plans. Keep up the great work.
