MIMS Learning Live Digital: a week of free learning supporting your clinical practice

MIMS Learning Live Digital will take place online from 9-12 March, starting each evening at 7pm, providing real-world practical learning for GPs.

The whole event is chaired by GP educator Dr Pipin Singh, providing stimulating sessions from expert speakers with the opportunity to participate in Q&A.

Cardiovascular disease and frailty

The opening session on Monday 9 March will be delivered by GP Professor Raj Thakkar, looking at management of cardiovascular disease in the context of frailty.

His talk will cover the nature of frailty, the prevalence of frailty in patients with cardiovascular disease, and how best to manage them.

ADHD in adults

On Friday 12 March, consultant psychiatrist Dr Helen Pears will provide key learning tips on management of ADHD in adults.

This will provide a refresher on presenting features and diagnostic criteria, the responsibility of the GP in drug management and shared care, and ADHD in the context of co-existing mental health issues such as depression, anxiety and addiction.

Other sessions

Other sessions at this event will cover a variety of clinical topics reflecting the diversity of GPs’ workload. Find out more about the programme here.

You’ll come away with practice-changing learning points and a suggested 6 CPD hours for attending all sessions at the event.
