BMA chair predicts how ‘difficult’ 2026/27 contract could take shape

Limited change is likely as part of a ‘difficult’ GP contract for 2026/27 – but the government could begin to incentivise the shift from PCNs to neighbourhoods ahead of more sweeping changes from April 2027, the BMA England GP committee chair has predicted.
