Anker pulled the curtain on the Soundcore Space 2, a new pair of over-ear headphones that launched at MWC 2026 in Barcelona with a $129.99 price tag and an April 21 release date. That’s $30 more than the Space One they’re replacing, and for that premium, Anker is promising something absurd: 70 hours of battery life without ANC, or 50 hours with it running. At a time when most budget headphones top out around 30 to 40 hours, those numbers feel like they belong in a different category entirely.

The Soundcore Space 2 also introduces a four-stage adaptive noise cancelling system that Anker describes as optimized for low-frequency environments. That’s a meaningful shift from the Space One’s more basic approach. Hands-on impressions from MWC noted that the ANC performed respectably in a loud event space, though it didn’t reach the level of Sony or Bose flagships. For $130, nobody expected it to. What matters is whether it’s noticeably better than its predecessor, and early signals suggest it is.
What’s driving the sound
Under the earcups sit 40mm double-layer drivers built from a silk diaphragm paired with metal ceramic material. Anker says the combination delivers full bass, clear vocals, and detailed highs. The sound has been described as “dreamy” with rich low end and clean treble across several test tracks. The Space 2 also supports LDAC, Sony’s high-resolution Bluetooth codec, which streams audio at up to 990kbps compared to the standard SBC codec’s 328kbps. That’s a three-to-one data advantage for wireless playback, though LDAC only works with Android devices through the Soundcore app.
The app also unlocks HearID 3.0, Anker’s updated hearing profile feature that customizes the frequency response based on your individual hearing. It’s the kind of personalization that used to live exclusively in $300-plus headphones. Having it at this price range changes what budget buyers should expect from their next pair.
The battery math
Seventy hours is the number Anker wants you to remember, and it’s the one that reshapes the conversation around what affordable headphones should deliver. Soundcore’s testing methodology uses continuous playback at 50 percent volume with wearing detection turned off, which is fairly standard for the industry. With ANC active, the number drops to 50 hours, and that’s still exceptional. Most competing models in the $100 to $150 range land somewhere between 30 and 40 hours with noise cancelling engaged.
There’s also a quick charge trick worth noting. Five minutes on the cable returns four hours of listening time. For anyone who’s ever panicked before a long flight because they forgot to charge their headphones the night before, that solves the problem in less time than it takes to board.
Comfort and color
Anker built the Space 2 around soft memory foam padding and what it calls an ergonomic design. Early hands-on time at MWC suggested the headphones practically disappear once you put them on, largely thanks to a low overall weight and plush leatherette covering the band and earcups. If you pick these up and squeeze the cushions, you’ll notice the material quality feels a step above what typically ships at this price.
The Space 2 launches in three colorways: Jet Black, Linen White, and Seafoam Green. Smart Wearing Detection pauses playback automatically when you take the headphones off and resumes when you put them back on. A three-microphone array handles calls alongside an AI noise-rejection algorithm, and there’s a one-tap white noise mode that cycles through ambient soundscapes like Rainstorm, Blizzard, Rainy Park, and Babbling Brook.
Where the Space 2 fits
The Soundcore Space 2 replaces the Space One in Anker’s lineup, slotting in as the company’s flagship over-ear option at a price that still undercuts most of its competition by a wide margin. For context, the Space One launched at $100 and earned a reputation as one of the better values in the budget ANC category. The Space 2 asks for $30 more and adds significantly improved battery life, a more sophisticated noise cancelling system, and LDAC support.

There’s no Soundcore Space 2 Pro in the pipeline as of the MWC announcement, but there was the Soundcore Nebula P1. Anker showed only this single model, which suggests the company is betting on one well-rounded set of headphones rather than splitting the lineup.
