1. The blade only cuts one way, and that’s the point

SpearEdge is built around the pull cut. Instead of a straight edge that pushes through material with downward force, a micro-curve spine arcs along the back of the blade, designed to follow your hand’s natural pulling motion. The sharp tip is designed to pierce packaging or cord with minimal pressure before the curved edge picks up the work and pulls everything along its arc in a single continuous stroke. On paper, the whole process looks built for clean cuts, not brute force.

The campaign’s detailed specs list 7Cr steel, the same grade Edgelet used on the ScytheBlade. Another material mentioned is the M390, a much higher-end steel, but given Edgelet’s ScytheBlade history, 7Cr is almost certainly what ships.

At the 7Cr level, you’re getting solid sharpness and easy resharpening, a practical match for light pull cuts rather than heavy-duty slicing. If M390 turns out to be an option at a higher pledge tier, that’s a very different deal.

4. Titanium build that clicks shut

The titanium handle should keep weight low enough that keychain or necklace carry won’t feel like hauling extra gear. Titanium won’t break down from sweat, rain, or whatever your pockets throw at it. 5. It’s built to disappear until you need it

Dimensions tell the story: 66.3mm open, 47.7mm closed, shorter than most car key fobs, and just 5mm thick. These are genuine pocket-disappearing measurements. A keyring slot machined into the tail end accepts a split ring without tools, so SpearEdge clips straight onto your everyday carry in seconds.

Keychain carry is the most natural option, though necklace carry should work just as well since titanium won’t corrode. For pocket carry, the jeans fifth pocket is the natural home, and at 47.7mm closed SpearEdge should disappear until you reach for it. The clean look means it doesn’t seem out of place outside EDC circles. It reads more like a piece of jewelry than a blade.
