Apple is struggling with technical challenges in the development of its first foldable iPhone. Problems have emerged during the testing phase, which could delay the planned mass production and shipment.

According to sources, the difficulties lie in the so-called engineering phase, a crucial step before large-scale production. These obstacles may mean that Apple enters the market for foldable smartphones later than expected.

Although Apple itself has not yet announced an official release date, earlier reports suggested that the device would appear around 2026. The recent issues, however, cast doubt on that timetable.

The delay is striking, as competitors have been offering foldable devices for some time, while Apple aims to take a new step in its iPhone design with this model.
