Maha Shivaratri Mahotsavam 2026 Mannumpuram Sree Mahadeva Temple, Mothirakkanni

Maha Shivaratri, the most sacred night dedicated to Lord Shiva, will be celebrated with deep devotion and traditional sanctity at the Mannumpuram Sree Mahadeva Temple, Mothirakkanni on Sunday, February 15, 2026 (Malayalam Era 1201, Kumbham 3). Revered as an ancient temple where divine presence is believed to be eternally vibrant, Mannumpuram becomes a spiritual epicenter during this auspicious observance.

The temple, known for its serene atmosphere and centuries-old heritage, holds a unique theological significance. Devotees believe that Lord Mahadeva, embodying the Satchidananda Swarupa, resides here in eternal communion with Maha Vishnu. Maha Shivaratri, observed on the Krishna Paksha Chaturdashi of Kumbham, is regarded as the night of cosmic stillness, self-realization, and divine grace.

The 2026 Mahotsavam will be conducted under the chief spiritual leadership of Temple Thantri Brahmasree Karanath Sreedharan Namboothiri and Melsanthi Kesava Sharma Swamiyar, ensuring adherence to sacred Agamic and Tantric traditions.
