Huawei not only remains a major player in the smartphone market, but also now clearly rules China’s 2025 foldable phone market. According to a new report by IDC, Huawei tops the list with the largest market share in this segment.

The flagship Mate X7 has a slim profile of about 236g, and is 4.5mm thin when unfolded. Huawei claims the folding seam is less visible than on other foldables. The hinge feels slightly looser than competing models such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold or Pixel Fold. Both screens – a 6.49″ cross screen and an 8″ main screen – are LTPO-OLED panels (up to 120Hz) with high brightness and smooth display. The 5300mAh battery lasts a long time, and the device supports 66W wired and 55W wireless charging.
