scramble through a pile of tyres as a full size car rotates above your head

I’ll admit my title doesn’t really get across just how much fun this piece is, but I really recommended checking out Allan Kaprow’s playful piece currently on display at the Saatchi Gallery.

The iconic interactive installation is a highlight of the gallery’s 40th-anniversary exhibition “The Long Now,” and lets visitors scramble all over the piles of tyres while a full size car rotates above their heads.

The car is Conrad Shawcross’s kinetic sculpture ‘Golden Lotus (Inverted)’, exploring themes of participation, technology, and the environment.
