A new wellness app, Wellness-Essary, has launched to address the growing mental health challenges faced by many, offering a blend of holistic practices and community connection. Founded by wellness experts Laura Seddon and Blaise Browne, the female-led platform aims to make self-care accessible and uplifting for users navigating the stresses of modern life. The app is now available on the App Store and combines yoga, meditation, breathwork, sound healing, astrology, and community support to foster mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
The need for effective wellbeing tools has never been greater. A 2023 Mental Health Foundation survey found that 73% of the population felt anxious at least sometimes in the previous two weeks, with 20% experiencing anxiety most or all of the time. Women, in particular, report higher stress levels, often juggling work, family, and societal pressures. Research highlights the benefits of practices such as meditation and breathwork, which can regulate stress, improve sleep, and boost confidence.
“Wellness shouldn’t feel clinical or like another task on the to-do list,” says co-founder Laura Seddon. “It should feel uplifting, personal and joyful. That’s why we created Wellness-Essary, so people can find the practices that really resonate with them and be supported by a community too.” Co-founder Blaise Browne adds: “Our mission is to make emotional, mental, and spiritual wellness accessible to all through simple but effective tools and practices that can be integrated even into busy and demanding lifestyles.”
Wellness-Essary sets itself apart by prioritising both community and holistic care. Users can access yoga, meditation, breathwork, sound healing, somatic practices, subconscious reprogramming, and astrology updates. Live coaching, moon circles, and community events provide a sense of connection, reducing feelings of isolation. Curated programmes support emotional regulation, anxiety relief, and burnout recovery, while corporate partnerships extend access to workplaces seeking to enhance employee wellbeing.
The app is designed to be practical and affordable, with a free 14-day trial followed by a monthly subscription of £12.99. It provides a mix of live and on-demand classes and workshops that can fit seamlessly into busy lifestyles.
Laura Seddon, a yoga instructor, meditation teacher, and NeuroDynamic Breathwork facilitator, brings over seven years of wellness experience, focusing on blending ancient practices with modern life. Blaise Browne, a trauma-informed coach with a background in psychology and somatic therapy, specialises in stress regulation and resilience, creating evidence-informed programmes for both individuals and workplaces.
